Aaron Joseph, President and Principal Engineer of Integrated Compliance Engineering, has been consulting for medical device companies in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2004. Previously, he worked in systems engineering and test engineering for a series of medical and biotech companies. Mr. Joseph's experience covers a wide range of technologies, including the following product development projects:

At NexRay, a startup developing a digital x-ray system for interventional cardiology, Mr. Joseph created a suite of image quality tests to measure all aspects of the imaging system.  The testing involved development of image analysis software tools in Matlab and design of custom testing phantoms.  Earlier in development he conducted experiments measuring the optical, electrical, thermal, and radiation characteristics of prototype x-ray systems.

At CardioVention, a startup developing an innovative cardiopulmonary bypass machine, Mr. Joseph helped transfer the product from engineering to manufacturing.  He developed the final system test for production and worked on-site at the contract manufacturing firm to troubleshoot initial production problems. 

At Signature BioScience, Mr. Joseph set up and managed the test engineering group.  He established testing procedures and an internal technology release program for prototype bioassay instruments and managed the company's main instrument lab.

Mr. Joseph earned his BS in Electrical Engineering from Rice University and his MS in Bioengineering from the University of Washington.
